What is the Daily Notes tool?
As your residents go about their day, it’s inevitable that a mixture of events will take place – some planned and some not. Whether you have scheduled a trip to the optician, a social coffee morning or an unexpected incident occurs, it’s crucial that daily care notes are recorded so there is a log of useful information to relate back to.
The Daily Note feature in CareDocs allows you to write and record digital notes for a wide variety of health-related and personal events, and leisurely activities. The records are saved on your system and can be reviewed with ease or used to create reports.
How is the Daily Notes tool in CareDocs used?
Daily Notes should be recorded whenever something notable happens or is due to happen. You can create simple text notes for specific residents which include as much or as little detail as you need, and attach files, images or map an emotional response to support your record. Daily Notes are quickly accessible, even on mobile devices and older entries can be searched using filter options.
You can create a Daily Note for any event. Here are some of the categories of events you can choose from:

What benefits do digital daily care notes provide?
Having a record of events not only allows you to keep track of what is happening for each resident, but it’s also an efficient way to practice person-centred care. For example, you can learn more about past behaviours and outcomes for specific situations, log how a resident is progressing each time they perform an activity, whether their medication is having the desired effect, or what their reaction is to a social event.
