Staff Roles and Permissions
Staff Roles & Permissions
What are Staff Roles & Permissions?
One of the first steps involved when creating a new staff profile is selecting the staff member’s job role. The job role is also connected to a set of permission controls which decide access levels throughout the system. This will help your staff use the software in the most efficient way.
How are Staff Roles & Permissions used?
After a staff profile has been created, you should then tell the system what that individual’s job role is within your business. Staff job roles are essentially templates attached to a set of specific CareDocs security permissions, so people who fall into a certain category can access only the information they require. The templates are fully customisable and control which CareDocs features and which areas of resident information staff can view, edit, or have no access to at all.
We have created a range of practical templates for you to use immediately, including job titles like administrator, nurse, senior manager and more. By choosing a template, it also determines how their job title is displayed on the system. However, you can create new templates to suit the way your business runs.
What benefits do Staff Roles & Permissions provide?
You and your staff can use the software confidently knowing the correct permissions have been assigned, so only the options that should be used can be. This protects your residents from unauthorised access and human error.
Who benefits from Staff Roles & Permissions?
All staff types receive peace of mind in knowing they are using the system efficiently, while care home managers maintain total control over how their system is being used to protect information.
