This update contains NHS number recording, a new Quick Add tool and the ability to upload videos and export report data to CSV format
We’re excited to announce that v4.8.4 is now ready to download! The focus of this software release is on achieving compliance with several of the Assured Supplier List requirements set out by the NHS.
NHS Assured Supplier updates
NHS numbers
We have added the ability to record NHS numbers against resident care files. When navigating to a service user’s Personal Details page, you will now see a new ‘NHS Number’ field where you can manually enter NHS numbers should you require it. CareDocs will verify that the number which is entered is a valid NHS number. NHS numbers will appear on the Residents Register page and in the Emergency Admission Pack.
Note for customers in Scotland: Community Health Index (CHI) number recording will be introduced in a future update.
Export report data to CSV format
We have added the ability to export report data into CSV format, so you can access your data in tables and spreadsheets outside of the CareDocs system. You can export data from compatible:
- Resident reports
- Staff reports
- Management reports
- Home reports
Upload video files
Video files can now be uploaded via CareDocs Desktop and CareDocs Cloud Portal. A range of common video formats can be uploaded from any CareDocs page where the file upload function is present, including:
- Resident and staff files
- Daily Note events and forms
- Body Map events
- Home Records & Maintenance
Menu changes
Quick Add function
We have added a new function to the main menu toolbar called ‘Quick Add’. Clicking the Quick Add button allows you to quickly search for residents and create records without navigating through multiple pages. The records you can create include:
• Daily notes
• Forms
• Charts
• Body maps
• Assessments
Home Status tool improvements
The ‘Home Status’ tool has been relocated from its position on the main menu toolbar to the ‘Welcome’ page. You will now see a new Home Status icon upon logging in to CareDocs. This has been moved to make space for a new feature (Actions), which will be introduced to the system in the near future.
By moving the Home Status tool, we have been able to make the following user experience improvements:
- Home Status categories are separated into tabs to make information easier to locate and digest
- Information loading speed is increased
- Loading screen is clearer
Improved information capture and presentation
We have added more opportunities to capture resident data and have enhanced the presentation of information across three key areas:
- Emergency Admission Pack
- Resident Personal Details
- Resident Contacts
Actions: Coming soon
New feature in development
In preparation for the upcoming release of our ‘Actions’ feature, we have created a placeholder icon on the main menu toolbar. Clicking this icon will take you to a ‘Coming Soon’ placeholder screen.
Actions will allow users to assign, view and manage action lists to further support the delivery of person-centred care. This functionality is also an NHS Assured Supplier requirement.
