What are Group Events?
Group Events help you keep track of events that have happened or are due to happen around your care setting where more than one resident is involved.
How are Group Events used?
Similar to the Daily Notes feature which allows you to create a written record of an event for an individual, you can record details for multiple attendees using the Group Events feature.
For example, you might want to record a collective reaction to a movie or the winner of a game, schedule a bus ride or record a group exercise routine. These can all be viewed again later as a refresher, to see who participated or to help improve future arrangements. To support your entries, you can upload files and images against the notes.
As a reminder to yourself you can schedule events to happen in the future. Anything you add will appear in an easily editable list. Creating your own custom event types is simple, meaning you can record a Group Event for any situation. Here are some of the default categories of events you can choose from:
- Care review
- Health professional services
- Leisure
- Nutrition / Hydration / Elimination
- Meetings
- Personal care
To see information for past and upcoming Group Events you can quickly search by looking at specific dates and event types.
What benefits do Group Events provide?
Having a record of events not only allows you to keep track of what’s happening around your care setting, but it’s also an efficient way to learn more about past behaviours and outcomes for specific situations. For example, you can log how residents are progressing each time they perform an activity, their reaction to a social event or general service feedback.
