New changes to organ donation laws

Ask your residents their preference today
The laws surrounding Organ Donation have changed today (20th May). All adults in England will now be automatically considered for organ donation when they die unless they choose to opt out or are part of an excluded group.

The NHS is asking for decisions to be officially registered on the NHS Organ Donor Register (www.organdonation.nhs.uk/register-your-decision/), and also for family and friends to be informed.
After your residents’ wishes have been logged on the NHS Organ Donor Register, you can then record them on CareDocs along with whether their family and friends have been made aware, following these steps:
