CareDocs update (v4.7.0) including ‘Elimination’ and ‘Vaccinations’ Care Assessments & Care Plans
We’re excited to announce v4.7.0 is now ready to download. Our newest software release introduces two brand new Care Assessments and Care Plans into the CareDocs system: ‘Elimination’ and ‘Vaccinations’.
You can now create care plans for Elimination which cover the following subjects:
- Red Flags: Triggers for bladder and bowel.
- Toileting: Using Getliffe and Dolman criteria.
- Continence: Incontinence for bladder and bowel, medical causes, types of incontinence, contributory factors, health professional involvement and continence products.
- Urinary Tract Infections (U.T.I.): Symptoms, testing, diagnosis and treatment.
- Catheters: The reason for catheterisation, type of catheter, frequency of changes and drainage details.
- Bowel Actions: Bowel frequency and functionality, Bowels Open form, intervention, stoma type and stoma care.
- Capacity and Consent.
- Outcomes.
You can also now record vaccination consent and other supporting information regarding past vaccinations using the Vaccinations assessment. This data will be transferred to the individual’s care plan and will also be integrated into the ‘Care Assessment Statistics’ report so you can view consent information for multiple residents on one page. For example, you could generate an instant report for the assessment question ‘Which vaccinations has the resident consented to?’, and CareDocs will show you how each resident answered.
This can be used as an alternative to completing the ‘Consent for Vaccination(s)’ form which gives you the option to record the consent information for a single resident into a digital form. Saved forms can be revisited at any time but can only be viewed one at a time.
What is Elimination?
Elimination refers to the excretion of waste products from the body, such as urine and faeces. However, a care assessment and care plan should cover a broader scope of subjects, such as different associated medical conditions, observation, treatment, ability, independence and goals.
How does Elimination & Vaccinations work in CareDocs?
Our care sector experts and software development team have worked together to digitise the care needs assessment and care planning process. Like all other areas of care, you can create thorough and person-centred Care Plans for Elimination and Vaccinations in CareDocs in 3 simple steps.
After choosing your resident’s profile, (1) progress through the easy-to-use Care Assessment on either a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. (2) Automatically generate a draft of the Care Plan in seconds, which uses only the information you have entered. (3) Personalise the Care Plan to further tailor it to the needs of your resident and set them as evaluated when you’re finished. You can then begin using the Care Plan and providing outstanding care.
