CareDocs update (v4.6.1) including COVID-19 vaccination & exemption recording
We’re excited to announce v4.6.1 is now ready to download. This software update includes new forms and reports to support with upcoming regulatory changes in England. On 11 November 2021, staff and visiting professionals will need to be fully vaccinated before entering a CQC registered care home, unless medically exempt, and their vaccination or exemption status must be recorded. For more information about the new policy see: At a glance: The mandatory vaccine policy for care staff
Our care sector experts and software developers have created dedicated forms and reports which allow you to record, monitor and evidence the status of each staff member and visitor, as well as the date they were checked and other key details. The new forms and reports are:
- COVID-19 Staff Vaccination Compliance Form
- COVID-19 Staff Vaccination Compliance History
- COVID-19 Visitor Vaccination Compliance Form
- COVID-19 Visitor Vaccination Compliance History
Completed forms can be easily viewed, printed and digitally shared to demonstrate compliance. Information included within a form automatically pulls through to the report, giving you an instant overview of who was recorded between a specific date range, and what their status was.
In addition to the above, we have designed a brand new form for recording a resident’s consent to multiple common vaccinations. You can now log consent for the COVID-19 vaccine, COVID-19 booster vaccine, influenza vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine in a single form. By consolidating four digital forms into one, we aim to save you from filling out the same information more than once and reduce the amount of time it takes to access the information, which should increase efficiency and comfort for both staff and residents.
