Point of care recording
When you record care as it’s happening directly into CareDocs, this is known as point of care recording. You can do this any place, any time, as long as you have access to the internet.
It ensures the data being entered is accurate, compliant and eliminates the risk of notes being misplaced or misinterpreted. Digital point of care recording entirely removes the additional workload created by using a paper system to make for a more efficient service all around.
How does point of care recording work?
Point of care recording is available through both the CareDocs Local and CareDocs Cloud packages.
The best way to achieve this is through the CareDocs Cloud Portal – a powerful free feature available to all staff members at a care home with a CareDocs Cloud subscription. To access it, simply log in to the Cloud Portal through the website or app, select the resident you are caring for and begin recording care. Your work is then instantly uploaded to the online server making it available for everyone else at the business to view.
For CareDocs Local, we have a less comprehensive service called CareDocs Mobile made for businesses without reliable internet facilities. It’s a back-to-basics approach to point of care recording, only including core features.
What do I need to achieve point of care recording?
CareDocs Local customers need to be able to connect their computer system and their mobile device to the internet at the same time. This is so the data you record from your device can be transmitted to your computer.
For the CareDocs Cloud package, your business’s internet connection speed would need to meet our minimum requirements. Once you have joined CareDocs you can begin using the Cloud Portal feature through either personal or dedicated mobile devices with access to the internet. We have a range of devices with the CareDocs app pre-installed for hire should you require them.
