What is User Access Management?

CareDocs is highly customisable. In addition to personalising your system to match your business preferences we give managers the opportunity to change different area access levels for each staff member. This means everybody sees only the information relevant to their job title. 

For example, you may disable access to the Invoicing function for those who have no use for it, allow staff to view the Daily Menus section but hide options to make changes, and specifically set who can or can’t view or edit certain aspects of each resident’s profile.

How is User Access Management used?

Users that are categorised as managers have access to the relevant Settings page which controls staff permissions. Changing other users’ access levels is simple and there are a few ways you can accomplish this. 

Either select an individual user and go down the list of access levels setting them manually, or if you would like everyone with the same job role to have the same access levels, simply choose from one of our templates or create your own. The next time the user logs in their new levels will take effect.

What benefits does User Access Management provide?

Not every user needs complete oversight of the CareDocs system. It’s more beneficial if your staff members are only able to enter and manipulate areas of the software which are relevant to their role because it saves them from losing time or getting lost in details which don’t matter to them. 

Setting the most appropriate security levels also evidences your compliance to data protection and demonstrates that your home is safe and your residents’ sensitive information can only be viewed by qualified individuals.
