Just like everybody else, we’re working from home where possible. That means the majority of staff at CareDocs have converted their bedroom, study or living room into a makeshift office. Being a digital company, most of our work is done using computers so we have adjusted well to the change. However, for certain teams it’s more or less been business as usual.

The steps we’re taking

Just like everybody else, we’re working from home where possible. That means the majority of staff at CareDocs have converted their bedroom, study or living room into a makeshift office. Being a digital company, most of our work is done using computers so we have adjusted well to the change. However, for certain teams it’s more or less been business as usual.

Our amazing Support department are required to receive and send deliveries, clean and prepare hardware, and of course assist you with your queries. To keep them safe, we’ve implemented social distancing measures, are keeping the space well ventilated, supplying PPE and limiting the number of people who can go into our Bristol head office at one time.

Using proven methods

With a large portion of staff working from home, our day-to-day operations are still running smoothly. Good hygiene is something we take very seriously and have lots of experience with. We’ve always cleaned and sanitised our hardware and devices (laptops, monitors, keyboards, phones, etc.) before posting it to our customers and upon receipt. Now we take extra care by sanitising our office regularly and ensuring anything that doesn’t need to come inside stays out, including certain food items.

Something else we have been practicing for years, but has really proven popular during lockdown situations, is the ability to provide remote demonstrations and training. Using the latest screensharing technology, we can walk and talk you through the software without having to enter your setting. All you need is a computer, an internet connection and either a phone or microphone. It’s a simple alternative and feels like we’re right there with you

Investing in ourselves

Our talented Development team has grown rapidly over the past year. They’ve been working hard to deliver not only scheduled software releases, but also have needed to react quickly to an ever-changing care landscape. They couldn’t do this without the knowledge and insight of our care sector experts, who research, write and advise for new features. It’s due to this joint effort that we’ve been able to produce a wide range of updates with a short turnaround time.

  • COVID-19 Status: See the ratio of potential cases and test results throughout your setting and individual status.
  • COVID-19 Symptom History: A detailed overview of symptom development over a timeline.

Resident health status

  • COVID-19 Status on Residents Register: COVID-19 status will display as Positive / Suspected / Not suspected / No symptom check under each resident’s name.
  • COVID-19 Status on the Emergency Admission Pack: First page of pack will display resident’s latest COVID-19 test results or symptom history.
  • COVID-19 Status chart on CareDocs Management Portal: See a breakdown of COVID-19 test results in pie chart format.

Resident charts

  • COVID-19 Body Map (coming soon): Pinpoint accurately where on the body the vaccination was administered and record treatment/recovery process.

Staff forms

  • COVID-19 Symptom Tracker: Record potential symptoms and keep track of developments.
  • COVID-19 Test Sample Taken: Record test sample information.
  • COVID-19 Test Result: Record test result information.
  • Consent for COVID-19 Vaccination: Complete before administering vaccination. (coming soon)

  • COVID-19 Symptom History: A detailed overview of symptom development over a timeline.
  • COVID-19 Testing History: See how frequent each staff member has tested for COVID-19 and the results.

  • COVID-19 Symptom Checker: Record visitor symptoms and request consent.
  • COVID-19 Lateral Flow Test (coming soon): Record visitor lateral flow test information.
  • COVID-19 Visitor Test (coming soon): Record other COVID-19 test information for visitors.

  • COVID-19 Visitor History: See records of visitors and their symptoms.

We’ve had the benefit creating a safe and practical working environment over several years which can handle the current climate, and your safety and the health of your residents remains our priority. The actions we’re taking, along with following government guidance, have your best interest at heart. Although there are restrictions in place regarding travel and visiting, there are various solutions we can adopt to ensure you’ve always got someone to speak to.
