This update features new audit tools & improved Breathing care assessment
We’re excited to announce that v4.8.0 is now ready to download. Our newest software release introduces a suite of infection prevention and control (IPC) audit tools, several updates to the Breathing assessment and care plan, and a new tracheostomy care form.
IPC audit tools
You can use a range of audit tools in CareDocs to help you evidence when standards are being met safely and responsibly. They provide transparency and raise awareness of areas that require improvement.
Three new audit forms and one new audit report have been developed to help meet and maintain safe standards of cleanliness:
- Form: Hand Hygiene Audit
- Form: Decontamination Audit
- Form: Mattress and Cover Audit
- Report: Mattress and Cover Report
If any improvements are needed to your service, you can record your corrective actions. These audits can be produced to CQC and Local Authority inspection teams to demonstrate quality monitoring and good practice
Breathing assessment
The Breathing care assessment has been updated and now contains new questions to further support service users who have a tracheostomy and other respiratory conditions. Sections within the assessment and care plan that have been affected by the update include:
- Tracheostomy
- Vital Signs
- NEWS2 Scale 2
- Capacity and Consent
- Outcomes
Tracheostomy care
In addition to this, a new Tracheostomy Care Form has been created to enable ongoing monitoring of tracheostomy sites. Spaces are provided to record the condition of the stoma site, tracheostomy ties and tracheostomy tube. Basic information regarding a resident’s tracheostomy tube and suction catheter will be pulled automatically from answers provided in the Breathing care to save you time.
