CareDocs DSCR achieves compliance with national Minimum Operational Data Standard

Compliance forms part of the final national requirements behind CareDocs DSCR’s listing on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List.

press Release:

Bristol, UK - 22 July 2026

CareDocs, the Bristol-based provider of digital care recording and care planning software, has achieved compliance with the Minimum Operational Data Standard (MODS). The standard is one of the final national requirements CareDocs DSCR needed to meet to be listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List for Digital Social Care Records.

MODS was formally published on 1 April 2025 by the digitising social care programme (DiSC), part of NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care. It sets out standard data definitions so that digital social care record (DSCR) systems across England record and label information the same way. All DSCR assured solution suppliers were required to comply with the standard by 1 July 2026.

For care providers, a consistent data standard means information can move more reliably between a DSCR and other parts of the health and social care system, from GP practices to local authorities. Care packages can be set up with less duplication of effort, and providers can share information with commissioners and NHS partners with fewer format mismatches to resolve.

CareDocs DSCR met MODS alongside GP Connect interoperability and the DCB0129 clinical safety standard, the other national requirements assessed as part of assured solution status. The full assurance process examines a provider’s approach to clinical safety, information governance, cyber security, data quality, interoperability and product capability.

Alan PocockManaging Director
MODS asks every assured DSCR supplier to speak the same data language, and that only works if you build it properly rather than bolting it on. Our team put in months of work to get this right, because the providers using CareDocs DSCR are the ones who benefit when information moves cleanly between services.
