CareDocs DSCR Achieves Assured Supplier Status

A milestone we're incredibly proud to share

Today is a big day for everyone at CareDocs!

After months of hard work across our product and development team, CareDocs DSCR has officially been listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List for Digital Social Care Records.

This isn’t simply another accreditation or badge to display on our website. It represents years of investment, collaboration with customers and commitment to building software that not only supports outstanding care today,  but is ready for the future of health and social care.

To achieve this milestone, CareDocs DSCR successfully met the final national requirements, including:

  • GP Connect interoperability
  • DCB0129 Clinical Safety
  • The Minimum Operational Data Standard (MODS)

These are rigorous national standards that aren’t easy to achieve, making this a significant moment for our team and our customers alike.

Most importantly, it’s a milestone that benefits every care provider using CareDocs DSCR.

What does being listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List mean?

If you’re a registered manager, provider, director or owner, you’ve probably heard people talking about Digital Social Care Records that are listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List.

But what does that actually mean?

The NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List is a nationally recognised list of Digital Social Care Record providers that have demonstrated they meet the standards expected by NHS England / the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC).

Those standards cover areas including:

  • Clinical safety
  • Information governance
  • Cyber security
  • Data quality
  • Interoperability
  • National data standards
  • Product capability

In simple terms, it means the software you’re using has been independently assessed and recognised as meeting the standards expected across the wider health and social care system.

For busy care leaders, that’s important.

Every day you’re balancing safe, person-centred care with compliance, staffing pressures, inspections and the ongoing challenge of running a successful service. Choosing the right digital care record isn’t simply about replacing paperwork, it’s about investing in a platform that will support your organisation now and into the future.

CareDocs DSCR being listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List gives you confidence that your digital care record has been independently assessed against nationally recognised standards and is ready to support the future of integrated care.

Why does this matter to your service?

CareDocs DSCR being listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List strengthens your position in several important ways.

It means your digital care record:

  • Meets recognised national standards for capability, security and interoperability.
  • Supports conversations with commissioners and local authorities.
  • Provides confidence that your software has been independently assessed against national expectations.
  • Is built to support secure information sharing as health and social care become increasingly connected.
  • Supports you to demonstrate quality, consistency and good governance during inspections.

Most importantly, it allows you to focus on what matters most, delivering outstanding, person-centred care.

Supporting better person-centred care

Technology should never replace great care, it should make it easier to record, evidence and share.

Every interaction, every preference and every choice help tell a person’s story. Recording those moments accurately doesn’t just create better records, it demonstrates the personalised care your team provides every day.

CareDocs DSCR has been designed to support exactly that. With fully customisable assessments, care plans, and interventions, real-time recording and comprehensive daily records, the platform helps your team build a complete picture of the people they support while reducing the burden of paperwork.

Clinical safety you can trust

One of the key standards required to be listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List is DCB0129, the national clinical risk management standard for health IT systems.

Clinical safety isn’t simply about compliance paperwork.

It’s about ensuring the technology supporting care has been designed, assessed and maintained with resident safety at its core.

For you, this means:

  • Assurance that risks from software developments are continually assessed and managed.
  • Peace of mind that you’re working with a supplier that places safety at the centre of product development.

After more than 18 years supporting care providers across the UK, we know trust is earned through consistency, quality and attention to detail.

Preparing for the future with MODS and interoperability

The way health and social care share information is changing.

The Minimum Operational Data Standard (MODS) creates a consistent structure for care information, helping data move more effectively between services as national integration develops.

Alongside GP Connect and other interoperability standards, this helps position CareDocs DSCR for the future.

National plans continue to move towards a more connected health and social care system, where information can be shared securely between organisations to improve outcomes for the people receiving care.

Realistically, this is a multi-year journey rather than something arriving overnight.

However, being listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List means your organisation is already positioned to be part of that future infrastructure as it develops, rather than trying to catch up later.

Digital Social Care Records only become truly effective when providers adopt standards-compliant systems. Every organisation using a solution listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List helps move the sector one step closer to that shared vision.

A note on funding

Although central government funding for Digital Social Care Records ended in 2025, some local authorities continue to offer funding or financial support for providers implementing a Digital Social Care Record that is listed on the NHS DSCR DPS Assured Solutions List.

Availability now varies across the country, so it’s always worth speaking with your local authority to understand what support may be available.

But funding isn’t the only reason to make the move.

The real value lies in having a Digital Social Care Record that helps your team deliver and evidence truly person-centred care every single day. From recording the small details that make each person unique to creating fully tailored assessments, care plans and interventions, the right system gives your team more time to focus on people rather than paperwork.

That’s exactly what CareDocs DSCR was built to do, enabling you to tailor your software around the way your service operates and delivers care.

If funding is available in your area, it can make that investment even easier.

Supporting you every step of the way

National plans include the longer-term development of a single, shared care record that links social care and health information, and NHS England has already committed significant investment to connecting care records across the country. Realistically, that is a multi-year direction rather than something arriving imminently but being on an assured platform means your service is positioned to be part of that infrastructure as it develops, rather than outside it.

Successful digital transformation and adoption comes from having the right support throughout your journey. At CareDocs, we don’t just provide software, we work alongside you to ensure your implementation is successful from day one.

Every CareDocs DSCR customer benefits from:

  • A structured digital adoption and onboarding programme.
  • A dedicated implementation team and regular point of contact.
  • Training tailored to your service and your staff.
  • Guided migration planning and ongoing support.
  • Regular webinars and continuous learning opportunities.
  • A responsive, UK-based support team.
  • Access to our 24/7 Community and Support Centre
  • Continuous product improvements shaped by customer feedback.

Our aim isn’t simply to help you implement CareDocs DSCR, but to give your team the confidence, knowledge and ongoing support needed to get the very best from your Digital Social Care Record long after go-live.
