A body map is a type of chart and a visual tool used mainly in the health sector to accurately record, monitor and evidence a range of health conditions. By using a generic image of a body that loosely represents its target audience – for example, a male or female adult or child – you can pinpoint and mark exactly where the individual is experiencing a health related condition or is undergoing treatment. This practice is also referred to as body mapping.
